About Irish Artist Ciano
In Cork, Ireland, the artist known as Ciano has quietly established an extraordinary reputation in the world of art. His story is one of passion, resilience, and rediscovery.
From a young age, Ciano was naturally drawn to the realm of art, expressing his creativity through drawing and watercolour painting, accumulating a collection of local awards during his childhood. However, life took an unexpected turn, steering his passion toward the nightlife scene and music, where he found himself immersed as a DJ producer.
In 2011, fate intervened in the form of an economic recession, leading to Ciano’s redundancy from his primary job. This event prompted him to re-evaluate his life goals, rekindling his artistic spirit. With newfound intrigue, he secured a part-time position working as a gallery sales assistant and framer for a local artist, all while enrolling in local art classes. He experimented with a diverse range of styles and techniques.
In the face of mounting bills, Ciano found solace in his art, channelling all his energy into it as a means of escape. Art became the vehicle through which he transcended his worries and expressed his innermost thoughts and emotions, drawing inspiration from where ever he could find.
In 2017, a café in Cork City offered Ciano an art residency, affirming his talent and serving as the main catalyst to spur him to consider further development as an artist. Today, Ciano’s art encompasses various mediums, primarily working with acrylics, spray paint, and mixed media collage, reflecting his background as a DJ producer and his exploration of the synergy between music, pop culture, and personal storytelling.
His work celebrates freedom of expression, individuality, and the unique paths of our lives, evoking shared sentiments and inviting viewers to explore the layers of meaning within each piece. Ciano’s journey serves as a testament to perseverance, self-discovery, and the embrace of true passion, inviting us all to dance to the rhythm of our own interpretations in the visual symphony of his artistic world.
