Shipping & Delivery Policy

Thank you for purchasing artwork from Ciano Art. Each artwork is packed with care and shipped from Cork, Ireland.

This policy explains how shipping, delivery, customs, packaging and delivery issues are handled.

1. Free Worldwide Shipping on Rolled Original Artworks

Ciano Art offers free worldwide shipping on original artworks supplied rolled in a secure tube.

This applies to eligible original artworks that are shipped unstretched and unframed.

Free worldwide shipping does not automatically apply to artworks that are supplied:

  • stretched
  • framed
  • mounted
  • crated
  • glazed
  • specially packaged
  • delivered by specialist art courier

If you would like an artwork supplied stretched, framed or specially prepared, please contact Ciano Art before purchase. Additional costs for stretching, framing, crating, courier delivery or specialist handling will be quoted separately.

2. Shipping Costs for Stretched, Framed or Specially Prepared Works

Large artworks supplied stretched or framed may require specialist packaging, crating or courier delivery.

Shipping costs for these works depend on:

  • artwork size
  • destination
  • framing or stretching requirements
  • packaging method
  • insurance requirements
  • courier availability

A shipping quote will be provided before the order is confirmed where additional shipping costs apply.

3. Processing Time

Available original artworks are normally prepared for dispatch within 2–5 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Custom, commissioned, stretched, framed or specially prepared works may require additional preparation time. An estimated timeframe will be provided before or after the order is confirmed.

Once your artwork has shipped, you will receive tracking details by email where available.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times vary depending on destination, courier service, customs processing and local delivery conditions.

Estimated delivery times for rolled artworks are:

These timeframes are estimates only. Delays may occur due to customs, courier disruption, weather, holidays, strikes, incorrect address details, or other circumstances outside Ciano Art’s control.

5. Customs, Duties, Import Taxes and Local Fees

For orders shipped outside Ireland or outside the European Union, the buyer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, brokerage fees, handling charges or local fees applied by the destination country, courier or customs authority.

These charges are not included in the artwork price or free shipping offer unless clearly stated in writing before purchase.

Ciano Art cannot control or predict customs charges, import duties, tariffs or government fees.

Revenue explains that goods bought from outside the EU may be subject to customs duty, VAT and other charges, and that the amount can depend on the value of the goods, transport, insurance and the type of goods. The CCPC also notes that buyers may have to pay extra taxes and charges when buying from outside the EU.

For international buyers, we recommend checking local import rules and estimated charges before purchasing.

6. Refused Delivery or Unpaid Customs Charges

If a buyer refuses delivery, fails to pay customs duties, import taxes, tariffs or courier charges, or does not collect the artwork from the courier or customs office, the buyer may be responsible for any costs incurred.

If the artwork is returned to Ciano Art, any refund may be reduced by:

  • original shipping costs
  • return shipping costs
  • customs charges
  • courier handling fees
  • insurance costs
  • storage fees
  • any damage or loss in value caused during return transit

Refunds can only be considered once the artwork has been safely returned and inspected.

7. Packaging

Rolled original artworks are carefully packed in protective materials and shipped in a secure tube.

Stretched, framed or specially prepared artworks may require additional packaging, corner protection, boxing, crating or specialist courier handling.

Please keep all packaging after delivery, especially for international shipments, as it may be required if a damage claim needs to be made.

8. Insurance

Original artworks are shipped with tracking and insurance where available and appropriate.

Insurance coverage may vary depending on destination, courier and artwork value. If specialist insurance is required, this may be quoted separately before dispatch.

9. Lost, Delayed or Damaged Deliveries

Ciano Art takes care to pack artworks securely, but delivery issues can sometimes occur.

Delayed or lost deliveries

If your artwork has not arrived within the expected delivery window, please contact:

For international shipments, delays can occur due to customs processing or local courier handling.

Damaged deliveries

If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact Ciano Art within 48 hours of delivery where possible.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the artwork
  • clear photos of the packaging
  • clear photos of the shipping label
  • a short description of the issue

Please do not dispose of the packaging, as it may be needed for courier or insurance claims.

Where damage is confirmed, Ciano Art will work with you to resolve the issue. This may include repair, return, refund, or another appropriate solution depending on the situation.

10. Incorrect Shipping Address

Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order.

Ciano Art cannot be held responsible for lost, delayed or returned packages where an incorrect or incomplete address has been provided by the buyer.

If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempt, unpaid customs charges or failure to collect, the buyer may be responsible for re-shipping costs and any additional courier charges.

11. Prints, Merchandise or Other Items

If prints, limited editions or other items are offered, shipping costs and delivery times may differ from original artworks.

Shipping charges for these items may be calculated at checkout or quoted separately.
