raveology

A celebration of underground rave culture, creative rebellion and the generation it inspired.

raveology is my visual tribute to the underground rave movement — a culture that helped shape a generation through music, freedom, rebellion and a shared sense of belonging. More than a soundtrack, it was a movement that challenged convention and celebrated individuality.

Drawing on the visual language of acid house, rave flyers, street culture and pop imagery, each artwork combines layered collage, bold colour, familiar symbols and expressive mark-making. The result is a vibrant collision of nostalgia, energy and cultural references that captures the spirit of an era.

Beyond nostalgia, raveology celebrates the lasting influence of a subculture built on experimentation, togetherness and creative freedom. It is a reflection of a time when music became a movement, boundaries were challenged and a generation found its voice.
