It’s been a busy few weeks preparing from my Re-Exhibit @ Lishh Cafe on the South Douglas Road. I was delighted when the guys asked me back to exhibit some of my new artworks. These are strange times and its amazing how things have changed and affected us all so quickly. This virus pandemic had an impact on people in way which reminds me of when I started back getting into creating art after been made redundant from my job. It forced people to take a step back and reassess their lives and rediscover what is important and what exactly they want to achieve from it.

As the lockdown restricted us it made us appreciate the small simple things in life: Going for a walk, getting out in nature, family and community. I find as you get older you begin to appreciate, wildlife and nature more. I built a mini wild meadow bee friendly flowerbed in my garden and now as we enter into the summer months it is alive with insects, bees, butterflies and wild colourful flowers. I wanted to capture and create these vibrant, positive feel good abstract subjects in my work in conjunction with my more expressive works that are created with a present mindset and what I am feeling at that particular moment.

All these works are now on display in Lishh Cafe who have reopened as of 29th June. I called in there today and I must say they did a great job with the new layout, new menu and new outdoor seating area. If your looking for something unique they are at the back of the Dosco Business Park on South Douglas Road.
